トップページにアクセスできなくなる症状

いつも、お世話になっています。kounです。
通常のPCを起動していて、裏でowncloudが同期をとっていると、何かメッセージがでたなと思い
ログを見ると、コピーができなくなっているようでした。

wafflecellのトップのメニューを表示させようとしても、アクセスできないという旨のメッセージが
表示されるだけです。
owncloudや仮想PCにもアクセスできなくなりました。
sambaは動いているようで、ファイル操作は可能な状態でした。

ハードディスクのアクセスランプはアクセスしっぱなしで終わる気配がなく、
どうしようもなくなり、危ないのはわかりつつ、しかたなく電源スイッチを切ってしまいました。

今は正常に動いています。

こんな事もあるのですね。
何か対処方法がほかにあったのでしょうか。

何か対処方法がほかにあったのでしょうか。

Waffle Cellで採用しているLinuxはかなり安定して動作するのでほとんどこのような
現象は経験がありません。また、これだけの情報ですと「何が」問題なのか不明で、
結果として対応方法もわかりません。

ただ、ひとつ考えられるのが「スワップ」です。メモリが不足しているとメモリの内容を
一時ファイルに書き込むためHDDはかなり長い時間動き続け、動作が止まることがあります。

仮想デスクトップの「アプリケーション」「アクセサリ」「端末」を開き、

free

と入力後エンターキーを押してみて下さい。ここで

-/+ buffers/cache: 7716556 8590408

というような行があるので、最後の数字（上の例では8590408）が５０００００（５００M）以上あるか
確認してみて下さい。

確かに、情報不足ですね。
調べてみたところ、500M以上ありました。

アクセスできなくなった当時、確かに、メモリが不足していたかもしれません。
（まだ、増設していません。）

付加のかかる作業をさせていた。
メインPCのowncloudとリンクさせているフォルダ内のファイルを大量に移動させました。
リンクするプログラムが動いて同期をセッセと行っていましたので、サーバ内でも、
ファイルの追加と削除が大量に発生していたはずです。

仮想PCでもwin8を閉じずにログイン画面のまま放置していたように思います。
さらに、もう一つ仮想PCでlibreoffice calcを起動させようとしてめちゃくちゃ動作が重くなって
いました。

owncloudで大量にデータを移動させたものをリンクさせる場合は、仮想PCをすべて停止した方が
無難かもしれません。

仮想PCでもwin8を閉じずにログイン画面のまま放置していたように思います。

仮想デスクトップと違い、仮想PCは固定でメモリを取ってしまうので、もしかしたら
それが影響していたのかもしれません。

同じようなことが次回起こった場合、HDDのアクセスが止まるまでしばらく待ってみて下さい。
そしてfreeコマンドでメモリの空きを調べてみて下さい。
