ファイルサーバ内のフォルダ

いつも、お世話になっています。kounです。

ファイルサーバ内にユーザー名のフォルダを作ってファイルを保存していました。
ファイルサーバ内のフォルダを見ていると、homesというフォルダがあって、
その中をみると、ユーザー名で作ったフォルダ内のファイルと同じ内容になって
いました。
現在、ファイルサーバのユーザーは私一人です。

このhomesのフォルダの意味はどのようなものでしょうか。
何か設定がまずいので、このようになっているのでしょうか。

特に困ったことはないのですが、気になりますのでご教示をお願いします。

このhomesというディレクトリ（共有名）はログインしているユーザーのフォルダと同等のものです。
理由はよくわからないのですが、ファイルシステム（SAMBA）の標準設定がこのようになっています。

この表示を消すよう設定の標準を変えることもできるのですが、Waffle Cellでは標準的な
設定を残しているためにこのようになっています。

回答ありがとうございます。さらに質問です。

homesフォルダの中に、ユーザフォルダに保存したものと同じファイルがあります。
ユーザーが１人の状態なので、複数いた場合どのようになるのかわかりません。
管理者とユーザが同じなので、ユーザフォルダに保存すると、homesフォルダにも書き込まれるのでしょうか。

もしくは、homesフォルダに見えているものは、実態ではなくユーザフォルダ内が見えているだけなのでしょうか。

ファイルサーバーのhomeフォルダーですが、


例えば、Waffle Cellの名前がyamadaで、ユーザ名taroの場合、
￥￥l.yamada.wafflecell.com￥
を見ると、
taro
homes
の二つのフォルダが初期値としてあります。
この二つのフォルダは内容が全く同じで、ある意味homesはtaroのショートカット（あるいはエイリアス：別名）だと思ってもらえるといいかと思います。

また例えば、Waffle Cellの名前がyamadaで、ユーザ名jiroの場合、
￥￥l.yamada.wafflecell.com￥
を見ると上記と同様に
jiro
homes
の二つのフォルダがあり、この二つのフォルダは内容が全く同じで、homesはjiroのショートカット（あるいはエイリアス：別名）のようなものになります。

そして、taroがアクセスするhomesとjiroがアクセスするhomesは全く別のフォルダになります。
